I have tutored students in elementary school & high school at Sylvan Learning Center I want to be a tutor because I believe each and every child can achieve success in their academic career. Often a child needs a teacher to take the time to work with them individually because each child learns in a unique way. When I tutor a child I first observe what prior knowledge the child has. I have the child use their prior knowledge to do school work that they will have success in. Next I see what academic subjects the child needs help with and show them step by step how to do what we are working on. I use encouragement and praise to motivate each and every child.
