Experience
Tutoring is a great way for me to share my teaching experience with new students. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, along with teaching credentials in multiple subjects with both English Learner Authorization (CLAD) and NCLB Compliance, which I received at California State University Fullerton. I am working on my master's degree at Claremont Graduate University, so I understand the perspective of my students, but I also have five years of experience working as a teacher in multiple school districts around the Westminster, California area. I have taught in multicultural settings, and I understand the newly updated Common Core standards, so I can apply that knowledge and experience to my teaching strategies. These strategies focus on teaching critical thinking skills and problem solving to help students continue their education both alone and with a group. I can tutor many different subjects, from art and drawing to grammar and mechanics, and I also tutor mathematics and science topics for many different grade levels. I also work with students on public speaking, essay writing, and English as a Second Language. When I'm not working as an educator, I love to paint and draw. I also love reading, writing, and I stay fit with hiking and yoga.
